Ovarian reserve testing estimates how many eggs remain in your ovaries, a starting point for understanding your fertility timeline. You're born with all the eggs you'll ever have, and that number naturally declines with age, though the rate varies from person to person.The testing combines a blood test measuring Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) with a transvaginal ultrasound that counts the visible follicles on your ovaries, known as your Antral Follicle Count (AFC).
